Austin T. Hamilton
Austin is a civil litigation attorney who represents a wide variety of clients from individuals and small business owners to associations and corporations. Austin has experience with jury trials and bench trials throughout Northeast Florida. He also has appellate experience with the First District Court of Appeal and the Fifth District Court of Appeal.
Austin’s practice focuses on all aspects of civil litigation at the trial and the appellate level. Austin’s practice areas include contract disputes, commercial litigation, construction litigation, business litigation, real property litigation, garnishments and collections. Austin also represents residential associations in various matters including the collection of unpaid assessments and the enforcement of governing documents.
Austin is a Hoosier by birth but a Boilermaker by the grace of God. He was born in Lafayette, Indiana and grew up in a small suburb outside of Cleveland, Ohio. He obtained his bachelor’s degree, cum laude, from Bowling Green State University. He obtained his Juris Doctor degree, magna cum laude, from Florida Coastal School of Law.
While in law school, Austin was on the Florida Coastal Law Review, and was the Executive Editor of the Florida Coastal Law Review Executive Board. He was also a Student Pupil in the Chester Bedell Inn of Court, and he interned for a United States District Court Judge in Jacksonville.
Austin is admitted to practice in the State of Florida as well as in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
Austin lives in Jacksonville with his wife and children. He enjoys exercising, playing basketball, fishing and spending time with his family.
